My Top 10 Favourite Waterfalls in Ontario

While I obviously haven’t been to every waterfall in Ontario, I have been to quite a few (30+ last time I counted). I’ve put together a list of my top 10 favourites in Ontario and included the city where they are located, the best seasons to view them, how easy they are to access, as well as how many people you can expect to be there when you visit.

Please note that waterfalls and surrounding areas can be very dangerous due to large drop offs, quick moving currents and slippery surfaces. Perhaps you’d like to read our guide on How to Take Beautiful Waterfall Photographs?

Legend:

  • Access Easy = There is most likely a pathway that leads straight to the waterfall. No climbing or difficult terrain.
  • Access Moderate = There is most likely some climbing and/or descending that requires you to be careful.
  • Access Difficult = For the adventurer type who isn’t afraid to get a little dirty. Good chance you will need to use a rope to descend.
