Apple just released Final Cut Pro X, and it is available in the Mac App Store for $299.99. This is quite the steal, considering previous versions were priced around the $1000 mark. With new 64 Bit architecture,  Final Cut Pro X promises blazing speeds. Motion 5 and Compressor 4, which normally accompany FCP, are now being sold separately at $50 each.

Rebuilt from the ground up to meet the needs of today’s creative editors, Final Cut Pro breaks free from the restrictions of old-fashioned timeline tracks. A new, dynamic editing interface lets you experiment freely while working with extraordinary speed and precision. – Apple
