Joey Lawrence has another DVD available for purchase, but this time he has teamed up with UK photographer Lara Jade. The two photographers go head to head with 4 different topics: color portrait, on location, photograph a stranger and studio. The double DVD set is on sale from now until January 1st, 2012, at which time the price will increase from $199 to $249.
To put it simply, this workshop-on-a-disc is unlike anything I’ve ever done before. The trailer above should explain everything that Lara Jade and I have been keeping secret all this time. All the information is on it’s store page, but to summarize it in once sentence: the tutorial is a photography, lighting and Photoshop collaboration DVD with a lot of style. – Joey Lawrence

I bought the video series on recommendation from a friend and it wasn't really useful for me who is new to photography. I deleted the videos from my computer and contacted his support staff for a refund and was denied a refund by Joey himself. I don't know any store, online or otherwise, that won't offer a refund to customers who don't want the product. I've been treated terribly by Joey and his team and give a STRONG recommendation that you do not purchase this tutorial or, if you do- make damn sure that you want it because there's no chance of a refund from these greedy people.
Yes, the tutorials are meant for advanced users. If you are new to photography there are a lot more affordable alternatives. I can't say I blame them for not giving you a refund, as this is the common practice when purchasing DVD's from most retail stores. If the package is unopened, you can return it, but if it has been opened that means you could have copied the content and asked for a refund. I realize you probably downloaded a digital version as opposed to a hard copy, but they have no way of verifying if you still have the movies on your computer.
I don't understand why you would expect a refund for this. If you go into a restaurant and you order a dish that you thought you may like and you didn't then you don't get a refund - you were wrong with what you wanted, leave it at that. Joey/Lara are not greedy in any way, they put out a product, it was your choice to buy it.
