This is the way of the future, and it’s starting now with mobile phones. SugarSync allows your photographs to be automatically transferred to your computer(s), the instant you take them. Photos can also be backed up online, as they are sent to the cloud. Hopefully this will be readily available to DSLR’s in the near future. That would make me a happy camper.

They tell us:

SugarSync’s Autosync feature, that saves your smartphones’ photos to all your devices, the second you take the picture, eliminates any extra work of file transfers or downloading. With SugarSync (5GB free, plus free mobile apps) you can access any data, anytime, anywhere using your mobile device and NOW also set up Autosync on your Android mobile device to instantly sync your photos to your selected (and unlimited) devices. After you snap photos and go home, you’ll see your images are already saved in your photo library, backed up to the cloud and available for sharing with friends and family, saving you time to keep on snapping photos. – SugarSync
