Adobe Photoshop Touch

Here is the first look at Adobe’s tablet specific editing suite, called Photoshop Touch. It’s very similar to the desktop version of Photoshop, except that some functionality has been streamlined to work with a pen instead of a mouse. In the following video, Russell Brown walks us through this new software, which appears to only be available for Android tablets at this point in time.

 

Final Cut Pro X Released - Only $299.99

Apple just released Final Cut Pro X, and it is available in the Mac App Store for $299.99. This is quite the steal, considering previous versions were priced around the $1000 mark. With new 64 Bit architecture, Final Cut Pro X promises blazing speeds. Motion 5 and Compressor 4, which normally accompany FCP, are now being sold separately at $50 each.

Building Rome On a Cloudless Day- 3D Reconstruction Using Photographs

A research team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has created a technique that creates realistic 3D models by using photographs found at photo sharing sites such as Flickr. It is currently still in the research phase, but it might be available one day as a commercial piece of software. Watch the transformation after the break.
