Rob Whitworth, who is a Vietnam based photographer from the UK, shot this beautiful timelapse of the ebbs and flows of traffic in Ho Chi Minh City. More than 10,000 RAW images were captured to create the video using Nikon DSLR cameras. For his next project, Rob will be focusing on the slower paced life in ancient town of Hoi An.

The combination of time lapse and darting camera movements takes viewer on a fast paced ride around this up and coming city.

Time lapse is increasing in popularity with the growth of sharing sites like Vimeo. It can be very technically demanding but at its simplest all you need is a method of fixing a camera in one location,
a good view and a good book. The latest smartphones now have applications which allow the enthusiast to experiment and create time lapses of their own. – Rob Whitworth
